Angelo Preden, born in Chioggia in 1946 from a family of fishermen and shipowners from Rovinj of Istria. He grew up in the world of boats and seamanship. In 1976 he participated in the OSTAR (Observer Singlehanded Transatlantic Race), solo transatlantic regatta from Plymouth (England) to Newport (USA), with a small boat of 9 meters, the "Caipirinha".
Since then he began the profession of skipper in the field of offshore sailing school, charter and transfer of sailing boats. He knows the whole Mediterranean and to date he has made 27 Atlantic crossings sailing from Gibraltar to the Canary Islands, Cape Verde Islands, the Caribbean and the Azores Islands.
For years he has been a contributor to "Bolina", a monthly magazine dedicated to all those who love sailing. He is the author of the book "A life in the wind", Edizioni Incontri Nautici, where he talks about his experiences as a sea man. Languages: Italian, English
