With this boat, designed in 1985, Franchini Yachts inaugurates the "SAIL MOTOR" category where the presence of an unusual habitability does not compromise sailing performance in the least. This result is the result of a careful study of weights and their distribution.
Fast in all conditions, fun on the helm and incredibly comfortable and safe. Almost 50 specimens will be produced in 10 years of activity, all still sailing and highly appreciated by the owners.
The hull is signed by Roberto STARKEL, then a very young naval engineer from Trieste who, for the first time, at the request of Massimo FRANCHINI, author of the concept and overall design, as well as the boat builder, ventured on a cruise boat.
The result will be a real sedan of the sea: the progenitor of a type of boat, borrowed from the patterns common in Northern Europe but reinterpreted in a purely Mediterranean key thanks to a careful study of the ergonomics on board and the deck plan.
It is on this boat that solutions such as the lands and rails in the deckhouse, the stern sundeck and the "deck saloon" now so widespread and discounted will make their appearance for the first time.
